We are delighted that February 2017 will see the arrival of several of France's Anne-Sophie Gilloen humorous ceramic sculptures. We can't wait!

Alex McCarthy - the third batch arrives at the end of January 2017

Alex's first two batches sold so well, he got back to the studio super early in 2017 to make some really special pieces for the gallery. They arrive this week. I'm rather taken with this one already and it's not here yet!

We met Alex at The Other Art Fair where mostly it is very alternative works. We were wowed by her energy, both in life and in her paintings and the simple palette that rewards the viewer with depth and movement.

Amanda Horvath

Amanda Horvath - works arrive in early 2017

Living in the beautiful hills of Derbyshire Amanda is compelled to paint the natural world around her. Her inspirations happen when she sees dramatic light moving across landscape and when visiting the coast, contemplate the translucent tones of aquamarine and turquoise in the sea. Working with vivid intensity Amanda loves bright jewel like colours and gather visual material en plein air in response to the rugged elements.

Philip Wakeham

Now in the gallery are several new pieces by Philip Wakeham. Each is unique in form and finish thanks to his methods. Philip casts all his work himself and finishes them with amazing patinations. From £400 to £20,000!

Mel Fraser

Mel Fraser - arriving Spring 2017 if not earlier

We met Mel at Cambridge Art Fair and immediately fell in love with her superb sculptures. Working in both figurative and abstract forms, her work has a calm energy about it that makes you want to connect with it far more than you might expect. Often working in alabaster or selenite, the works have a translucence that changes through the course of every day. Yet more world class work on it's way to rural Ryedale!

Carne Griffiths

Carne continues to develop his charcoal and ink works, now embellishing with acrylic paints and resins to create a moodier finish. Still uniquely connected to his works and heading back to the more subtle palette of 2014 and earlier, which for us is the right direction! Several new works are now in the gallery.
