Myer Halliday is a ceramic artist based in Edinburgh.
In 2009, Myer graduated from the pioneering part time ceramics degree from Glasgow School of Art. As a maker his previous experience had been of making wheel thrown functional work. Art school provided opportunities for him to get involved in new approaches to ceramics including experimenting with slip-casting, hand building, and making sculpture.
Since leaving college and establishing his professional practice Myer has returned to making thrown forms that are decorated either by drawing with underglaze stains or painting with coloured slips.
He is now based at Coburg House Studios in Leith, Edinburgh where he makes works for sale via stockists and exhibitions in the UK and overseas. He also works on commissions for private clients.
