Michael Thacker spends his week renovating Lincoln Cathedral as a stonemason and his spare time creating wonderful limestone sculptures accented with the use of gold leaf.
As a member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, Michael is assured of his place in history, yet he works tirelessly to produce outstanding sculptures from local limestones and completes them with hand beaten gold leaf.
His works attract attention from all visitors to the gallery, many entranced by the the living nature of his work. Light poors through the cavities, amplified by the gold leaf. As the sun gets stronger so does the light wells reaction bringing warmth and positivity to any room. Ideally placed on a south facing surface that has natural daylight.
