Stunning bowls and platters that make a feature of any room.

I was born and raised in Dorset, near Lulworth Cove. The main inspiration for my work is the Jurassic coast, in particular Kimmeridge and I spend a lot of time sketching and photographing the area.

My interest in clay started 10 years ago when I embarked on a number of City and Guilds courses at Poole College of Art and Design over a period of 3 years. During my time there I won a Gold Medal of Excellence and a £10,000 bursary from City and Guilds to set up my own studio.

In 2001, I went on to do a Degree in Three Dimensional design at the university for the Creative Arts in Farnham where I attained a First Class BA Honours. I won the International Takifuji Art Prize in Tokyo when I graduated from there 5 years ago. I then moved to Bath to take up a residency at Kingswood School and now have my studio at Bath Artists Studios. I exhibit all over the Country and last year took part in the prestigious Crafts Council Show 'Origin' at Somerset House, London.

Experimentation has always been really important to me and pushing materials to extremes is essential to my work.

I have been using porcelain and corrosive materials to achieve the desired effects and I multi- fire my pieces, adding layers of glaze and porcelain to create fissures and cracks.
