Tom Lundsten and Lynne Glazzard have come together to create a stunning collaborative collection of enamelled copper vessels. Tom is a Danish enamelling expert, offering courses in enamelling throughout Europe. Lynne is a jewellery maker and artist, and primarily works from her studios in Filey on the Yorkshire Coast.
Enamelling has always been very personal to both of us. We use it to explore the relationship between colour and form and record those experiences to share with others. Our unique perspective is shaped by shared interests as diverse as history, geology and the exploration of techniques. We don’t limit enamelling to specific genres or styles. Instead let each experience speak to us in its own way.
Both Lynne and Tom began enamelling around 2000 and joined the Guild of Enamellers. They teach workshops and work independently exhibiting in the UK and Denmark respectively. This collection of work began when Tom was teaching Lynne etching. They recognised that their skills and interests complemented each other and formed a partnership to collaborate and develop further ideas. The current collection combines Lynne’s design ideas with Tom’s technical expertise and a shared love of the colour and transparency of enamel.
